The Carnegie Foundation classifies IUP as a doctoral university with high research activity. That’s an honor met or exceeded by only about 7 percent of colleges nationally.

When we roll up our sleeves and dig into research, we do it locally with an eye on a global application. While our research changes the world, it also changes the experience our students have. Driscoll and Yacoub Win Article Award from Association of Writing Across the Curriculum
达纳·德里斯科尔(英语, Writing Center) and Omar Yacoub (August 2023 graduate from the Composition and Applied Linguistics Doctoral program and former assistant director of the 琼斯怀特写作中心) won a major article award for their 2022 article, “Threshold Genres; A 10-Year Exploration of a Medical Writer’s Development and Social Apprenticeship through the Patient SOAP Note.”
Fall Graduate Student 研究 Grant Application Now Open
Applications are now being accepted for the fall 2023 graduate student research grant. Interested students may apply via InfoReady Review. The grant provides students with an opportunity for funding to support original scholarship and research projects.
